It’s more than just where to put your hands or how to angle your body; it’s about making sure every image reflects your best self and the values of your brand.
Here are 3 ways I help clients feel confident and aligned with their #brandvalues with the posing process:
1. Explore What You Love (and Don’t Love)
Posing starts with understanding how you feel about your body.
Maybe there are angles or features you love highlighting, or perhaps there are things you’d rather downplay. There’s no “right” way to pose, but comfort and confidence show through in every photo, which in turn connects with your audience.
2. Posing That Reflects Brand Values
How do you want people to feel when they see your photos?
Words like “bold,” “approachable,” or “innovative” often come up during discovery calls. Those adjectives are essential for posing.
For example, if your brand is about approachability, an open, relaxed postures will feel welcoming. To show authority and expertise, we might go for stronger stances with direct eye contact.
3. The Power of Nonverbal Language
#BodyLanguage is a universal communicator, and your audience picks up on it instantly.
Small adjustments, like the tilt of your head, the placement of your hands, or even your posture, can shift the energy of a photo.
Ultimately, posing is not a performance. It's part of brand messaging.
